Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“terms”) govern your access to and use of nivesh.org.in (the “site”), operated by Nivesh (“Nivesh,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By visiting or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

1. Description of service

Nivesh provides free, browser-based calculators, educational articles, and a financial-terms glossary covering investing, loans, taxes, salary, savings, and retirement planning, aimed at a general audience in India. The site is informational and computational in nature. It is not a brokerage, lender, tax preparer, or investment advisory service, and using it doesn’t create any advisory, fiduciary, or professional relationship between you and Nivesh. See our Disclaimer for what that means for any figure a calculator shows you.

2. Eligibility

The site is intended for general use and isn’t directed at children. If you’re using this site on behalf of a minor, you’re responsible for supervising that use. By using the site, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms under the laws applicable to you.

3. No account required

The site is free to use and doesn’t require creating an account, and none of your calculator inputs are transmitted to us, stored, or tied to any identity, see our Privacy Policy for the specifics. We reserve the right to introduce optional accounts or paid features in the future; if we do, this page will be updated to describe them clearly before they apply to you.

4. License to use the site

Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. This license doesn’t include any right to resell or make commercial use of the site or its content, collect and use any listing, description, or pricing-adjacent information for a competing purpose, or use any data mining, scraping, or similar automated data-gathering tools against the site without our prior written permission.

5. Acceptable use

In addition to the restrictions in Section 4, you agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the site, its infrastructure, or any system or network connected to it.
• Introduce any virus, malware, or other harmful code through the site.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
• Present figures generated by this site as personalized professional advice to a third party, or otherwise misrepresent the nature of the tool.
• Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with any security-related feature of the site.

6. Intellectual property

The site’s design, layout, source code, calculators, and written content (including blog articles) are owned by Nivesh or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws, unless a specific piece of content is credited to another source. “Nivesh” and associated logos are our marks; nothing in these terms grants you a right to use them without our prior written consent.

You’re welcome to link to any page on this site, and to share individual calculator results (for example, via the site’s built-in screenshot or share features) for personal, non-commercial use. Reproducing, republishing, or distributing substantial parts of the site’s content elsewhere requires our prior written permission.

7. Feedback and submissions

If you send us feedback, bug reports, or suggestions (for example, via the Contact page), you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use that feedback to improve the site, without any obligation to compensate you or attribute it to you. Don’t send us anything you don’t want used this way.

8. Third-party links

The site may link to external resources, including news sources, government pages, and other third-party websites. We don’t control and aren’t responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any linked site. Following a link away from Nivesh is at your own discretion and risk.

9. Disclaimers

The site and all calculator results, articles, and other content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any calculator’s output is accurate, current, or complete. Rates, tax rules, and statutory limits referenced on this site can change without notice. 10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Nivesh and its creators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or financial loss, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the site, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if we’ve been advised of the possibility of such damages. Because the site is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the site is limited to zero.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nivesh and its creators from any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your violation of these terms or your misuse of the site.

12. Termination and suspension

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the site, in whole or in part, for any user we reasonably believe has violated these terms, without prior notice. Since the site doesn’t require an account, this would ordinarily take the form of blocking access at the infrastructure level rather than deactivating a profile. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 9, 10, 11, and 14) will continue to apply.

13. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or your use of the site, are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to applicable law, the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that isn’t resolved informally.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

15. Entire agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Nivesh regarding use of the site, and supersede any prior agreements on the subject.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update the site, add or remove calculators, or revise these terms at any time. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms; if you don’t agree with a change, your only recourse is to stop using the site.
