Loans Calculators
Work out your EMI, total interest and eligibility before you sign, comparing lenders and tenures side by side.
Loan math looks simple on the surface but small differences in rate, tenure or prepayment schedule change the total interest by lakhs. These calculators show the full amortisation logic so you can compare offers on equal footing.
How to think about loan calculators
A few principles worth knowing before you run the numbers.
1EMI is a trade-off between tenure and interest
A longer tenure lowers your monthly EMI but increases the total interest paid over the life of the loan. Use the EMI Calculator to see both numbers side by side before choosing a tenure.
2Compare the total cost, not just the rate
A slightly lower interest rate with a longer tenure can cost more overall than a higher rate with a shorter one. Always compare total interest paid, not just the advertised rate.
3Prepaying early saves more than prepaying late
Extra payments in the first few years reduce more interest than the same amount paid later, because more of your early EMI goes toward interest. The Prepayment Savings Calculator quantifies this.
4Not every loan amortizes the same way
A gold loan can be structured as a regular EMI or as interest-only payments with the full principal due at the end (bullet repayment). A credit card's "minimum due" isn't an EMI at all: it's a percentage that can leave a balance revolving for years. Check which shape actually applies before assuming standard amortisation.
